So we are pleased to say that it has, and that by special arrangement we are able to bring the benefits of The Platform, an award-winning blended learning system, to your organisation.
What is The Platform?
The Platform is a management training system that combines computer-assisted learning with face-to-face training and telephone coaching. It is flexible enough to be used for the development of your whole management team, from board members down to supervisors.
How does it work?
The Management system comprises 9 modules under three broad headings of Business Focus, Personal Growth and Interpersonal Skills. A Sales Management version is also available.
The Business Focus modules are:
- Gravity - ensuring you work smarter at drawing the people you need towards you.
- Time & People - Making sure you spend your time on the things and the people that matter to the bottom line.
- Business Plans - Making sure you reach your goals and targets and knowing how you can repeat this success.
The Personal Growth modules are:
- Goals and Support - your vision of your career and practical help to realise it.
- Reflection - Growing your emotional intelligence and learning more about yourself and others.
- Training & Learning - Understanding how you acquire knowledge and skills and apply them in your work.
The Interpersonal Skills modules are:
- Leading - Can your team get the best out of themselves and accomplish their tasks?
- Contracting - Finding a joint way forward that benefits both you and the people you work with.
- Influencing - Knowing how to influence everyone you come into contact with.
After studying a module the participants meet for a one-day workshop to consilodate learning, and then receive a mentoring telephone call a few weeks later.
How is The Platform available?
You can buy it on a CD-Rom to install on your Learning Management System, or buy access to it over the internet. Alternatively it can be used by a trainer running it directly from the CD-Rom in a classroom situation. There are no ongoing licence fees.
Your own training team can run the one-day workshops that follow each module or we can. We can also train your team in how to use The Platform.
Why to use The Platform
Traditional management training has disadvantages:
- A high cost per capita – course fees and accommodation costs charged per delegate
- Lengthy periods away from work – several days per course plus travel time
- Re-entry problems –the learning frequently not translated into changed behaviour
The Platform eliminates these disadvantages!
- There are numerous ways in which The Platform can be purchased. However, whether it is a one-off fixed cost or a fee per delegate, the per capita charge is low. And a one-off outright purchase gives you unlimited usage!
- Initial learning is done via your learning management system or on the internet, so delegates can learn at their (and your) convenience without taking days away from work. There are nine modules plus a version for Sales Management, and it is recommended that after completion of each module the delegates attend a one-day, in-house workshop at a typical cost of £80 plus VAT per delegate.
- Following completion of the module and the one-day workshop, telephone mentoring is available to help the learning to become embedded in behaviour change.
