E-Learning Courses
The EnCours Learning Management System (LMS) is a system specifically developed to support all training interventions. Unlike pure 'e-learning', courses on EnCours LMS are centred around providing the best support for the learners and the trainer, and for ensuring that everyone gets the most from their training sessions. Because the system is designed this way, successful blended courses become easy to create. Learners find that they are better prepared, and trainers have an insight into the profile of their cohort, allowing them to focus on areas of need during workshop sessions.
A well-designed course will allow the cohort to continue to benefit long after the training session, where the design might include action plan tracking, evaluation, continued on-line learning and forums. Because everything is tracked, those people who need access to reports can see how courses and user groups have been progressing and can see immediate on-line evaluation information. All this adds a new dimension to justifying training spend. And, where training spend is tight, it is often possible to have a shorter, more focussed and practical face-to-face session and rely on on-line support to provide the knowledge- based learning, reducing the cost but ensuring you still do deliver the course.
The EnCours LMS runs courses to a schedule; preparation material becomes available in the lead-in to a course. Immediately after a training session, delegates may be asked to record their action plans. Three weeks later (you decide), they may be asked to update their progress. A month later, they may evaluate the change they've made and the overall effectiveness of the course. They may have access to a tool-kit of reference materials throughout. At each step of the way, EnCours LMS will ensure the correct on-line content is available to the right people.
It will send out email requests for them to complete learning items made available to them and can remind them if they forget. But EnCours LMS is not just support for the learner; EnCours LMS also provides the trainer with the means to understand the profile and the needs of the group and the individuals on the courses they are taking. Imagine being able to know learner's strengths and weaknesses, or their goals for the course; pre-armed with this knowledge, trainers can ensure they are prepared to maximise the workshop time.
